Your mission
As a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) in an early-stage company in hyper-growth, you play a pivotal role in driving the success of our business. You will be the bridge between our product and sales teams, ensuring that our products are positioned effectively to meet customer needs and achieve business objectives. Your expertise in automation or AI field, market analysis, messaging, and go-to-market strategies will be crucial in growing our customer base and delivering effective sales enablement collateral.
Your Responsibility:
- Messaging and Positioning Expertise: Craft and refine compelling messaging that resonates with our target audience, ensuring our product is effectively packaged and positioned within the market. Develop clear, compelling value propositions by translating complex technical product features tailored for diverse buyer personas, and develop content that cuts through the fluff, speaking directly to the product’s strengths relative to customer needs.
- Go-to-Market Strategy Execution: Lead the development and execution of strategic go-to-market plans, aligning marketing and sales teams to ensure cohesive efforts and maximized impact. Provide comprehensive support to the sales team, crafting tools and presentations that enhance the sales process, driving tangible results, and contributing to the strategic product roadmap.
- Ideal Customer Profile Development and Mapping: Identify and refine multiple Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs), understanding and mapping unique decision-making processes at various organizational levels. Successfully navigate complex sales processes, aiding the sales team when the buyer may need to build a case for budget allocation or when a decision-making unit isn’t yet clearly established, while also anticipating future market needs.
- Sales Collaboration and Enablement: Beyond creating sales materials, embody a sales-oriented mindset with a hustler mentality. Produce and refine sales collateral, actively participate in sales efforts, occasionally conducting demos and effectively pitching our products to both internal teams and external customers to learn at the front lines and help guide the way. Focus on driving key metrics and outcomes, caring deeply about why deals are won or lost, and genuinely prioritizing close collaboration with salespeople to understand and improve the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Multifaceted Role Adaptability and Resilience: Willingness and capability to learn at the front lines by doing, putting your PMM and Sales Enablement work to the test by actually using it to pitch our product to customers. Demonstrate exceptional perseverance and work ethic in a demanding, fast-paced environment, showing resilience and passion for the grind.
- Deep Understanding of AI and Tools: Maintain a thorough understanding of AI technologies beyond the superficial “glitter”, focusing on solving customer pains rather than just presenting features. When necessary, actively participate in industry events to educate the market about our product category and reinforce our position as a market leader.
